ADHD Assessement

What's Involved

The Process

Your assessment appointment will take place via video call, so you can attend from the comfort of your own home. You will be assessed by Stephen, our ADHD Assessor.

Stephen is a psychologist as well as a very experienced therapist. The assessment will typically last 120 minutes. Please note that the role of our clinicians is solely to assess whether an ADHD diagnosis is present. It is not a therapy session.

In this time, Stephen will undertake a structured medical assessment of your mental health and take a full history. This means that Stephen will look at other health conditions, especially mental health conditions, which may either exist alongside possible ADHD or exist instead of ADHD.

They will also expand on questions asked within the pre-assessment forms. Part of this assessment is to ask for details about your past.

Stephen will then discuss with you what they think your diagnosis is. Alternatively (or additionally) Stephen may need further information or investigations before they can offer a diagnosis. They will discuss this with you. After diagnosis, Stephen will discuss the recommended treatment.

Stephen will write a full and comprehensive report.

This report can be shared with the people you feel it relevant to share it with.

During the assessment Stephen will also discuss with you the next steps.

If medication is something you with to try, then this will also be discussed.
